The NVAG is a lightweight binocular that can be mounted to a wide range of helmets by use of the mounting adapter. The FAA TSO-C164 approved tool is simple and powered by a dual battery compartment power pack that gives the pilot immediate reserve power. The power pack uses AA alkaline batteries that are TSO approved,
The NVAG goggles are now available with image intensifier tube performance levels. This will surely improve the user’s performance regardless of the lighting levels available. If used domestically, the NVAG has DO-275 specified class B coatings on the objective lenses,
The 27 mm eyepieces give high quality images regardless of the position of the eyepiece. Another important feature is that it helps ensure that all air crew members are able to keep full 40 degrees field of view even if they are wearing prescription corrective lenses. The binocular gives individual interpupillary adjustments as well which simplifies the task of centering the eyepiece. For maximized viewing and comfort, there is a fore/aft adjustment over a range of 27mm and tilt adjustments that can be made to a range of 10 degrees.
Solid adjustments – the adjustments have a very firm feel. This is because it is made out of solid aluminum construction which gives the user more confidence and lessens the time he needs to make adjustments. The system has 25mm eye relief eyepieces that are adjustable and objective lenses with minus blue filters.
MIL-SPEC – the system meets the strict MIL-SPEC requirements by undergoing tests for high humidity, high altitude, vibration, salt fog, EMI, temperature range and many more. Nivyys has done complete system “A” tests and has provided data and a certificate of conformance which comes with every unit.
